The Fairfield House Hotel is a luxury 4-star mansion house in the seaside town of Ayr on the west coast of Scotland. The privately owned and operated hotel has 44 bedrooms, gourmet restaurant, lounge bar, spa facilities.
Plan B have been providing web and digital services for over fifteen years and have in that time redesigned the website on several occasions with the hotel benefiting from our managed website programme with monthly payments which ensures ongoing software upgrades and a redesign every two years at no additional cost.
The hotel is located near the centre of Ayr and benefits from a mix of business and leisure travel as well as strong local business for the resturants, function suites and spa facility.
The hotel is well located for golfing groups and historically the hotel has benefited form golf tourism as it has from vistiors to nearby Ayr Racecourse. It was importnat that the hotel increased its destiantion profile substantially by providing more information to potential visitors about attractions and events locally.
To design a fully responsive website that reflects the essence of the hotel and its facilities with cognisence that the site was being laucnhed under the cloud of COVID and lockdown.
The objective is to try to reverse the trend towards increased bookings via Online Travel Agents and improve the percentage of direct bookings being made through the hotel website.

We utilised our own Digital Concierge application to quickly add businesses that the hotel's management and team would recommedn in person. The Digitial Concierge app means that the hotel has a a mobile friendly application that the guest can use both before and after arrival to support or replace printed materials.
We have a great relationship with all the team, not just our account manager. They are always on hand for help and support. I like that they push me to keep the website updated, fresh and giving the user a very good experience.

The website was designed using one of our new Web Themes and is powered by our proprietary Content Management System. The website design focused on the updated branding and imagery provided by the client while the focus was on reducing the volume of unnecessary text and increasing the focus on key Calls to Action on all landing pages.
